Once upon a time in a land called Bartley Green, a group of Newman students dreamt of performing on the stage in front of their friends and family. So off they went to Newman Students' Union, and formed a Music and Drama Society called MaDSoc! The members of MaDSoc had so much fun that they promised to be as open and inclusive as they could be. To this day, any Newman student can be a member of MaDSoc, regardless of the course that they study, their age, or even their interests! In the olden days (2003!) MaDSoc staged their first production, Cinderella. With a lot of hard work, and very few resources, they astounded audiences with their singing, acting and dancing skills. Since then MaDSoc has successfully produced eleven shows, including Pantomimes, Musicals and variety shows. So here we are in 2012, looking for people to help us continue writing the MaDSoc story.
