Newman Students’ Union is a student led organisation. The Officers of the Union are elected each year to deliver a manifesto of pledges on behalf of the student body at the University.
We have 2 full-time Officer Trustees, who are paid to take up their role for a year (either suspending their studies or at the end) to be the lead Officers of the Union as well as sitting on the Union’s Trustee Board.

Alongside the Officer Trustees, we are also electing 10 Part-Time Officers, who sit on the Union’s Student Council, as well as sitting on one of two sub-committees of Council. Each of these Officers represents a cohort of the student body, these positions are volunteer roles for one year.
