It is election time at the Union. Over the summer we conducted a Governance Review, which looked at how we structure our student officers positions and committees. In order to strnegthen how student voice is heard and acted upon, we have removed both Forum and the Executive Committee. We have replaced those with Student Council and two sub-committees of council: Voice & Support Committee and Community & Wellbeing Committee. These committees are made up of a range of new Part-Time Officer positions, which better reflect the student body at Newman, to include a number of liberation and inclusion positions.
