Its lovely and sunny today - makes me feel like the lighter nights and spring is on its way!

I hope you are settling into your new timetable well; I am reaching out to remind you we have a few things underway:

31st January is the final day of your Vice-Presidents 'Well-being week', which has been a success, to find out more about what's on, take a look on our Events page by clicking here.

You will notice on our website that we are promoting the My Black History documentary screening that a group of our students participated in to celebrate Black History Month. I am inviting all students to attend this.

This idea stemmed from a think tank I held back in September 2024; the students and the Union have been working hard to bring this to fruition.

The screening is on Wednesday 12th February, 2.30 pm – 4 pm, on campus in ST002. We will hold a pre-drinks reception with a Q&A panel led by Amira Campbell, President of the National Union for Students (NUS)

Having students attending would be wonderful in showing your support to fellow students and gaining insight into other people's perspectives.

You make have seen an email from me last week, asking for your opinions on an end of year celebration, I welcome your thoughts on this as this is your opportunity to shape, how we celebrate completing the academic year, you can complete this survey by clicking here.

Lastly, don't forget we have an offer on the organic merchandise, pop into the SU look and try before you buy. 

I want to send my apologise to those who have brought a course specific hoodie and not get recieved them. This is something the Union Director is in talks with the supplier. However, this is out of our control and as a gesture of good will and by way of an apology, we will be offering a free t-shirt as a means of recompense. If you afre wauting for your Course Specific Hoodie, you will receive an e-mail as soon as they arrive.
