'MY BLACK HISTORY' is a short film created during Black History Month 2024. It features a series of interviews with Birmingham Newman University students and staff about their own histry as a black person living and studying in Britain. It documents stories, observations, thoughts and feelings about race, identity and hopes and aspirations for the future.
This screening will be the first public showing of the film, followed by a Q & A with the cast and creators of the documentary. Entry is free but please reserve a place.
The film is 45 minutes long and the event is expected to last 1.5 hours.
