If you have a real interest in how your Students' Union runs and have a passion for developing the strategy and policy that drives the organisation, why not apply to be a Student Trustee?
Newman Students' Union is a registered Charity and as such, it has a Trustee Board at the top of the organisation. The Trustee Board is made up of non-student, Lay members, the Union Chair, Officer Trustees and 2 Student Trustees.
You don't need to have any experience of the Students' Union to apply, just a real interest in how a complex organisation runs and how the voice of the students at Birmingham Newman University is key to the success of the Students' Union.
Full training will be provided to ensure that you can make a great contribution to the role and the Board as a whole. The Trustee Board meet at least 4 times per year and you would be expected to attend all of these meetings, either in person or online.
