Newman Runners are fundraising for Newman Students' Union!

Some of our absolutely amazing staff at Newman are running the AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run on Sunday, 4th May 2025, as well as the Inkberrow 20k relay race in Worcestershire on 18th May to raise money for Newman Students' Union Wellbeing Fund.

Newman Students’ Union exists to support the academic and welfare needs of the students at Birmingham Newman University. We know that students are finding balancing studies with maintaining their general wellbeing and day to day survival ever more challenging. From research carried out by the SU with the student body, 52% identified that they had suffered with their mental health, affecting their ability to study. Funds raised from your donations would allow us to establish a wellbeing fund that student groups or students can access.

Funds raised from your donations would allow the SU to establish a wellbeing fund that student groups or students can access to help start wellbeing initiatives across campus. In 2025, the SU hosted a successful wellbeing week of workshops and sessions, aimed at giving our students the chance to take a moment away from their studies and general life to focus on their own wellbeing. Any funds raised will enable the SU to expand on this success and provide more opportunities for more students at the university.

Our goal is to raise £500 to help towards this project. Your contributions will not only motivate us as we train for this event but will also make a significant impact on the lives of our students. Thank you for considering supporting our cause!

If you are able to donate anything at all, we would appreciate it and would go a long way in allowing us to continue to support our student body. Thank you to Newman Runners for chosing to support us!
